Capital Of Odisha:
Bhubaneswar replaced Cuttack as the capital in 1948, the year after India gained its independence from Britain. The modern city was designed by the German architect Otto Konigsberger  in 1946It is the largest city in Odisha and is a centre of economic and religious importance in Eastern India.


Connectivity:
Bhubaneswar is well connected with one international airport (Biju Patanaik International Airport), Railway (Bhubaneswar Railway Station, Vanivihar Railway station, Lingaraj Railway Station), Bhubaneswar interstate Bus (Barmunda).  Bhubaneswar is connected to the rest of Odisha and India by National Highway – NH-5.

Climate:
Bhubaneswar has a tropical savanna climate. The annual mean temperature is 27.4 °C (81.3 °F); monthly mean temperatures are 22–32 °C (72–90 °F).

Attraction:
Bhubaneswar is supposed to have had over one thousand temples; earning the tag of the Temple City of India. Temples made in the Kalinga Architectural style with a pine spire that curves up to a point over the sanctum housing the presiding deity and a pyramid-covered hall where people sit and pray. Some of the famous temple includes Lingaraj Temple, Mutesvara Temple,Rajarani Temple, Ananta Vasudeva Temple,  Recently built temple (Ram Mandir,  ISKCON , SAI Mandir).

Another tourist places are:
Khandagiri and Uadaygiri(twin hills), Dhauligiri , State museum , Nadankana Zoological Park, Regional Museum of national history, Tribal Research institute Museum.

Education:
Schools in Bhubaneswar are run by the state government or private organisations, many of which are religious. Oriya and English are the primary languages of instruction. Schools in Bhubaneswar follow the “10+2+3” plan.

Utilities:
Electricity is supplied by the state-operated Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha, or CESU. Fire services are handled by state agency Odisha Fire Service. Drinking water is sourced from the Mahanadi, Kuakhai and Daya rivers. Water supply and sewerage are handled by the Public Health Engineering Organisation. State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, or BSNL, as well as private enterprises, among them Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Reliance, Idea Cellular, Aircel , and Tata DoCoMo, are the leading telephone, cell phone and internet service providers in the city. 

Modern Bhubaneswar:
The city of Bhubaneswar is now a well planned city that comprises of good modern buildings, wide roads, parks and gardens. The modern Bhubaneswar is planned by Otto H. Koenigsberger, a German town planner. But the city is developing fast and the original plan has grown wide. It is a fast developing city with modern amenities. It is on its way to be India's one of the most well built cities. The infrastructure is great and there are many modern modes of transport. Bhubaneswar also has a domestic airport for the convenience of businessmen and tourists. Various flights from all across the country land here. Many great educational institutions are built here for the youth here and to develop the city and the state into a modern city.
